First Day

After many many hours on a plane, we finally arrived in Rio! It was only 8 in the morning but it was 65 degrees fahrenheit. We were picked up by Tia lulu and she took us home. After unpacking in the place next to her we decided to go out to explore. We walked down the streets and there were palm trees and it was beautiful even though it was foggy. We came back and then ate rice and beans and then watched a Cameroon and Croatia play. After it was over Tia lulu dropped us off at Copacabana beach to watch the Spain chile game that was on a big screen.  There were thousands of Chileans cheering and yelling. We headed home at halftime to watch the second half at home. After it got late we saw that outside our balcony the crist had been lit up with a purplish light and when the clouds cleared we could see it perfectly on top of the Corcovado mountain. That night we all slept for about 14 hours. We can't wait for new adventures today!
